Masala records is a independent record label founded by Tikki Masala in May 2014
The intention of starting the label came after the wish to release music made by Tikki Masala, without being dependent on 3d party labels.
At first the music released on Masala records will be the past and present works of Tikki Masala,
with in the future the idea to also give other artists in the Indian Electronica, Psychill, Ethnostep, Psybient, World Beat Ambient genre a platform to share there music with the world.
The first release of Masala records is "Mystical Realms" a Indian Ambient electronic fusion album.
The second album is "Prarambha" a 3 volume album with the early works of Tikki Masala ,
to bring the tracks from the past years to the surface.
The tirth album "Traveling Through" a bit more uptempo with percussion and bass and synth sequences, a psychedelic fusion downtempo album.
The Forth album who is now in process will arrive soon and is called "Siddhimarga"
and is a danceable Psychill, Downtempo, with beats, percussion, Basslines, psychedelic sequences, mantras and Indian instruments.

After first traveling in India, Tikki Masala was inspired by the deep flavors of authentic Indian classical music. Tikki Masala blends together sounds of classical Indian instruments like the sitar, Tabla, Santoor, Sarod, Flute and Tampura ... with beats, synthesizers, drums and percussion. Recordings made across India from Bhajans, Kirtans, street musicians, fellow travelers, jam sessions, nature and temple sounds are mixed together with psychedelic hypnotic electronic sounds, rhythms and bass lines.

Tikki Masala Unplugged
Tikki Masala Unplugged are recordings with a mouth harp, Dan Moi, (Jew harp, jaw harp Guimbarde) from Vietnam , Laos and Cambodia. The mouth harp is a rhythmic instrument with overtones and is in a fixed scale. Its played with the mouth, Sounds are modified by tong lips throat and belly. Breathing is one of the important Technics to play different rhythms and variations. Here some recordings made from jam sessions with other musicians in India. Most recordings are made live in bars, restaurants, on the beach or on the Fire.

Beatfarmer (Adam Wood), lives in the woods on a raw, west coast island where his homesteading lifestyle keeps him connected with the earth. This connection shows through his music, which incorporates ethnic and tribal sounds with modern electronic beats capturing the energy and beauty of the world he loves. His original productions are filled with natural sounds, chanting and organic percussion, connecting the listener with the traditions of the past - through the sounds of the future! In the past four years, beatfarmer has produced music from his solar powered home studio. He has released 3 full length cds, Mantra was released on Ovnmoon Records in 2012 , peaking at number 6 on psyshop's CD chart. .2014 brings a new downtempo CD entitled "Eye of the Storm". There is also a growing body of inspired remix work, including his remix of "Carpet Breaker", released on Adham Shaikh's Refractions remix CD and a remix of Khumba Mela for the Desert Dwellers' "Nomadic Ecstatic" ep..

Born in Antwerp ,GOWAX took interest in the underground trance scene in 94.That interest evolved, due to a magical first dance-A delic goa experience in to playing psy trance from 96 onwards, collecting music in London,New York,Goa ,Amsterdam,Zurich.Gowax was resident DJ at the legendary Dance-A-delic parties, Agimont parties, Suntrance, trance-dimensions parties and played at the 5 and 10 year celebration of the magical "old is gold" parties. Most recently Gowax played the Tribal Roots closing set after MWNN , Astral projection , Total eclipse and hooked up with the Goametric crew for their latest parties and end of Nov 2013 Gowax has kicked of the NOV 2013 Tribal Roots party in Antwerp , on same lineup were Logic bomb , Etnica /Pleidians / Electric Universe and MWNN .The GOWAX live project is all about hypnotic grooves , catchy bass lines and de-tuned spheres, first tracks Jorunn and empathy were released on Naturall productions.GALANGA was recently released on on Ovnimoon compilations colors of Goa , a compilation that hit nr 2 position in the Psyshop charts for over 3 weeks. Gowax is currently working on new tracks with Tikki Masala and looking for nice opportunities to release tracks.Namaste !

"terraMasala (Steve)
is a self-taught drummer/percussionist/electronics (based in Belgium-Europe) who's love for music has entangled with his passion and love for travelling through magical (not on all levels though;) India.
On these travels, tM discovered some amazing beautiful music, both traditional and modern, that influenced and inspired him intensely.
tM tries to capture and reproduce part of those travels by translating them into pieces of music.
